Job Title: Business Development / Outside Sales Representative
Location: Waco, TX (or surrounding Central Texas area)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission (Uncapped Earning Potential)
Job Overview: A growing company is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development / Outside Sales Representative to expand their presence in the Central Texas market. This role is responsible for generating new business, building long-term client relationships, and promoting fire sprinkler system installation, inspection, and maintenance services. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who thrives in the field and enjoys developing partnerships within construction, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, facility managers, and business owners
• Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events
• Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and present service solutions
• Prepare and present proposals for fire sprinkler systems, inspections, and service agreements
• Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, service) to ensure accurate project execution
• Track sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions in CRM system
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience (construction, industrial, or service industry preferred)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
• Comfortable with cold calling and prospecting
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience in fire protection, HVAC, construction, or related industries is a plus
