As our Senior Accountant , your responsibilities fall into the following seven areas:

• 
  Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting: Oversees the development and execution of the annual budget, collaborates with department leaders to ensure strategic alignment, monitors financial performance to identify risks, and maintains forecasting tools to support informed decision-making.


• 
  Financial Oversight and Control: Manages general ledger operations and enforces financial controls and policies. Ensures spending accountability across teams, oversees HR-related financial functions - including employee benefits, coverage, claims, renewals, and workers' compensation, and delivers clear financial insights to support strategic decision-making.


• 
  Financial Metrics and Data Visualization: Leads the development and monitoring of key financial metrics and dashboards to ensure data accuracy, support strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement. Combines financial analysis, process optimization, and clear data presentation to empower leadership with actionable insights.


• 
  Accounts Payable and Receivable: In partnership with the Accounting Assistant, ensures accurate client billing aligned with service delivery and manages receivables and collections to maintain healthy cash flow.


• 
  Compliance and Audit Readiness: Oversees timely tax filings and regulatory reporting in collaboration with external accountants, supports audit processes, and maintains documentation to ensure readiness for internal and external reviews.


• 
  Leadership & Strategic Impact: Engages in strategic planning and leadership Level 10 meetings, models company core values, manages and mentors the Accounting Assistant, and develops financial guidelines to support long-term sustainability.


• 
  Process Improvement and Documentation: Identifies inefficiencies and recommends enhancements to financial systems and processes, maintains clear documentation, and trains staff on protocols and best practices to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.

We believe you should have the following skills to be successful in our Senior Accountant role:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance


• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive accounting experience, preferably in a company with $5M+ in revenue


• Demonstrated experience setting up cost accounting and general ledger accounts, supported by a deep understanding of accounting, finance, and inventory principles and practices in compliance with US GAAP


• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering accurate, thorough, and timely results with consistency and precision


• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and expertise in budgeting and forecasting


• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect operational metrics to financial outcomes


• Proven experience in financial leadership, including one-on-one LMA of direct reports


• Leads with ethical standards and enforces accountability, ensuring alignment and responsibility at every level, from team members to leadership


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software systems, QuickBooks Online, and ERP Systems (ConnectWise)


• Valid Driver’s License

Bonus points if you have any of the following:

• Financial experience within a company running on an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) structure


• CPA or eligible to sit for the exam
