Nestled between bustling East Austin neighborhoods, Este celebrates fresh seafood, Mexican flavors, and charcoal cooking. From the team behind the East 6th favorite, Suerte, Chef Fermin Nunez and restaurateur Sam Hellman-Mass are taking their love for masa to the coast.

Our hosts play many crucial roles in the success of our team. We are looking for someone who is not only able to seat tables but who has the ability to organize the floor plan through OpenTable, our reservation system, who can be able to communicate with guests about the food and beverages offered, and communicate with the team about the state of the restaurant and what needs to happen with the tables throughout the restaurant to provide each guest with the best experience possible.
We are seeking qualified applicants with:
A minimum of one year of restaurant experience, with a proven and stable work history in high-quality and reputable establishments.
Familiarity with OpenTable, or an equivalent hosting software, and Toast.
The ability to be aware of the floor and what tables are seated, need cleaning, and are ready to be seated.
The understanding of how to help other team members with floor needs when they need a helping hand
The willingness to take on other duties as assigned.
A desire to work within a team-based environment and be proactive in identifying opportunities to support the restaurant and its team members.
The ability to take orders and serve cocktails is a definite plus!
Basic Qualifications:
Comfortable lifting and carrying trays, dishes, supplies, goods, and moving tables and chairs (up to 50 lbs)
Enjoy being active standing, walking, and moving around during your shift
Willing to bend, reach, and restock to help keep things running smoothly
Take pride in a clean, professional appearance with proper uniform and grooming
Must be eligible to work in the United States

Interview Process:
Interview with two managers
Stage in the position for a few hours this is to determine for both parties if we re mutually a good fit. Your stage is non-compensable, but we will provide a snack at the end of your shift, as well as an explanation of what to expect from us in the coming days
