Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist

Hilltop Residential is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Corporate Office team. Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Process invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and ensure timely payments
- Assist in managing corporate credit card program
- Utilize Paylocity for payroll processing, reporting, and compliance and RealPage/AvidXChange for AP management and automation
- Assist with month-end closing, payroll audits, and AP reconciliations
- Work closely with Accounting, Finance, HR, Operations, and Fund teams to streamline payroll, AP processes, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ year of payroll and accounts payable experience strongly preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Excellent organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and management
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting payroll and AP issues
- Familiarity with Paylocity, RealPage, or similar software preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager and will be fully on-site/in-person located at our Corporate Office located at 9651 Katy Freeway in Houston, TX 77024.
