Unit: Surgical Services Opportunity

Salary: $150k max (will be determined in interview with our client regarding interest and qualifications.

Shifts: Day, no weekends, 8-10 hour days, no mandatory overtime and 1.5x the base rate for hours over 40 a week.

Position Overview:

  • A prominent healthcare organization, represented through our third-party recruitment services, is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for their Surgical Services department. This role is based in Arlington, TX, and offers a full-time regular position with mixed shifts, including rotating weekends. The position provides a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $84,843.20 to $127,275.20 annually, depending on years of experience, along with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • In this leadership role, you will oversee the provision of high-quality nursing care in the operating room environment by evaluating, planning, coordinating, directing, and assessing care for all surgical patients. You will partner with the operating room education specialist to facilitate initial and continuous training for department personnel. Additionally, you will identify staff development needs, establish objectives, rollout implementation strategies, and evaluate outcomes. Responsibilities include creating, updating, and explaining departmental policies and procedures, while managing the budget effectively. You will ensure the execution of professional nursing standards for every patient, serve as a bridge between operating room team members and hospital leadership, medical professionals, and other units. This involves contributing to performance reviews in coordination with clinical supervisors, attending facility leadership sessions, and working closely with executives, finance teams, and unit managers on both operational and capital budgeting.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care operating room setting, combined with a minimum of 5 years as a registered nurse in operating room operations.
  • In-depth expertise in surgical nursing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active registered nurse license in Texas or a compact state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
