Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician (San Antonio)

Methodist Healthcare, the largest provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas, is recruiting a cardiothoracic surgeon to join an established practice and growing program in San Antonio, Texas.

Qualified Candidates:

• Board certified or board eligible
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred, candidates with less experience will be considered and encouraged to apply
• Experience in routine and complex coronary work, valve repair/replacement and transcatheter valve procedures
• Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, to include open and endovascular aortic procedures
• Experience in routine thoracic and minimally invasive lung surgery
• Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
• Superb communication skills, a track record of leadership, and a passion for program development and collaboration

• Ability to primarily focus practice at one of our Methodist Healthcare hospitals
• Call required, expected rotation: 1:5 weekend call; 1:7 weekday call
