Skilled in principal coaching, talent development, and leadership evaluation
Working knowledge of effective instructional practices, curriculum alignment, and data-driven instruction
Ability to manage and support transformational change in high-need school environments

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Campus Supervision and School Leadership: Supervise and evaluate the performance of principals at assigned campuses, focusing on schools in need of targeted or comprehensive support
Coach principals in the development and execution of Campus Improvement Plans (CIPs) and/or Targeted Improvement Plans (TIPs), ensuring alignment with district goals and TEA requirements
Build strong systems of principal coaching, talent development, and leadership accountability
Support the identification, recruitment, and retention of transformational school leaders
Collaborate with district departments to remove barriers, align resources, and address operational needs on assigned campuses
Visit campuses regularly to monitor instructional practices, leadership capacity, and school climate
Turnaround Strategy Implementation: Lead the execution of district and state-approved school improvement strategies in alignment with the district's Transformation Plan
Support the implementation of high-leverage instructional practices, data-driven instruction, and evidence-based interventions
Ensure alignment between campus efforts and TEA’s Effective Schools Framework (ESF)
Promote high-impact professional development that addresses identified areas of growth for school staff and leadership teams
Coordinate and support the effective use of external partners, consultants, or vendors engaged in school improvement work
Data and Accountability: Monitor academic performance, attendance, discipline, and other key metrics across assigned campuses
Analyze multiple data sources to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Report progress to the Chief of Transformation and other district leadership regularly
Ensure that each campus has clear academic goals and defined performance benchmarks
Support campuses in creating systems for continuous monitoring and adjustment of improvement plans Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Collaborate with families, community organizations, and district leaders to promote support and ownership of transformation efforts
Communicate consistently with school communities regarding progress, needs, and next steps
Foster a culture of high expectations, equity, and shared accountability across assigned schools Collaboration and District Alignment: Work collaboratively with the Chief of Transformation, Academic Leadership, Student Support Services, Human Resources, and other central departments to ensure campus needs are met
Align campus efforts with district strategic priorities, Board goals, and accountability mandates
Supervise and support the Director of School Leadership and Support assigned to transformation campuses
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal policies related to school transformation, grants, and school improvement funds WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands / Environmental Factors:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, standing, prolonged sitting, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. Frequent intra-district travel and occasional statewide travel are required. Mental Demands:
Ability to solve complex problems in high-pressure environments; ability to apply research-based solutions; ability to manage competing priorities; and ability to maintain emotional control under stress. Extended work hours may be required. Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Educational Leadership, or related fieldTexas Mid-Management or Principal Certification
Minimum of 10 years of experience in education, with at least 5 years in school or district leadership Preferred: Doctorate Degree in Education or a related field
