The Director Federal Income Tax Consulting (Director) requires expertise in U.S. Federal Income Tax to provide income tax consulting services to corporate clients. The Director will lead manage and execute federal income tax consulting engagements to drive value for Ryans corporate clients.

Duties and responsibilities as they align to Ryans Key Results

People:

  • Supervises consulting work delegated to staff and managers.
  • Develops and delivers ongoing technical training of staff and managers

Client:

  • Develops new client relationships and works with Ryan global management team to expand the Practice to other markets
  • Works within the Practice to develop new strategies in response to legislation changes and case law
  • Routinely makes presentations to prospects and clients

Value:

  • Serves as subject matter expert for Practice area throughout Firm and to the external marketplace
  • Assists in the general operation and administration of the Practice
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree or Masters degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance required. A minimum of ten to twelve years of experience in Practice specialization. Previous track record of excellent service delivery and working in a team environment.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word Access Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid drivers license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly or indirectly supervises employees in the Practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firms policies and applicable laws.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 30 to 50%.
  • 50 hour standard workweek requirement.
