Location: San Angelo, Texas. Local travel to project sites within the San Angelo area is required.

WES-TEX Construction & Remodeling is looking for a skilled, dependable Construction Superintendent to lead work in the field and help keep projects moving with quality, organization, and professionalism. This person will be the on-site leader responsible for directing crew members, coordinating daily work, maintaining standards, and ensuring each project is completed with care and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, broad-skilled, level-headed, and confident, leading others without yelling, drama, or ego. We are looking for someone who understands construction from the ground up, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can help create a jobsite culture built on respect, accountability, and doing the job right.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on residential remodeling and construction projects
  • Supervise crew members and help keep everyone focused, productive, and on task
  • Perform and oversee framing layout, wall framing, window and door framing, and related structural work
  • Assist with finish carpentry, including cabinetry, baseboards, casing, trim, crown molding, siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior details
  • Support drywall, paint, and general remodeling tasks as needed
  • Read plans, understand project scope, and help translate project goals into daily field execution
  • Coordinate with the owner, project team, subcontractors, and vendors to keep work moving efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional jobsite
  • Identify issues early and communicate clearly so problems can be solved quickly
  • Ensure work is completed with quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, trades, and team members
  • Help develop and support a positive field culture based on respect, reliability, and strong work ethic

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of residential construction, remodeling, carpentry, or field leadership experience preferred.
  • Broad hands-on knowledge across framing, finish carpentry, drywall, paint, trim, and general remodeling
  • Ability to perform full framing layout, from form boards/slab layout through walls, windows, and door openings
  • Experience leading or directing small crews preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must possess standard hand tools commonly used in residential construction and carpentry.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, punctual, trustworthy, and professional
  • Clean, client-facing presentation and ability to work respectfully around high-end residential properties
  • Ability to lead calmly and constructively, especially when challenges come up on the jobsite
  • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, consistent with applicable law.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Full-time position, W-2 Employment
  • Pay: $22-$28 per hour, based on experience
  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on project workload and schedules. Opportunity to grow with a developing company
  • Work on custom residential remodeling, additions, carpentry, and construction projects
  • Supportive, family-oriented work environment
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance are not currently offered
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. Occasional flexibility may be required based on project schedules and client needs.
