Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This role is ideal for a professional with 6+ years of experience in mechanical system design, construction documentation, and project management . The position offers the opportunity to lead mechanical design efforts, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical expertise across diverse building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering design knowledge to create accurate construction documents and specifications.

• Produce mechanical system design elements in alignment with project scope, budget, and timelines .

• Develop engineering construction documents for permitting and final delivery.

• Participate in post-design activities including punch lists, site visits, and construction completion.

• Ensure design quality standards are consistently met across all deliverables.

• Manage project communication between the design team, owners, and clients to maintain alignment.

• Provide consultation on codes, standards, and compliance to support design excellence.

• Prepare and review engineering project specifications and reports.

• Support billing processes by providing timely project updates to accounting.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, designers, and CAD/Revit drafters .

• Actively contribute to process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost reduction initiatives .

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design.

• Strong understanding of the construction process and ability to interpret drawings .

• Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, and mechanical design principles .

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit .

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT and/or PE license preferred.

• Sector-specific expertise in healthcare, education, industrial, or commercial markets.

• Project management experience a plus.
