What You Can Expect

As a Senior Power Options Trader, you will manage portfolio optionality and customer requests while optimizing load and assets, including BESS, across ERCOT, PJM, and the Northeast markets. You will be responsible for managing and deploying options and non-linear power positions in North American markets, with a particular focus on ERCOT, PJM, and the Northeast. Additionally, you will collaborate with the retail and asset optimization teams to develop and execute non-linear risk management strategies. This position is based in Houston, TX, reporting to the VP of Power and Gas.

• Use mathematical models and quantitative techniques to identify trading opportunities and optimize trading strategies
Apply quantitative methods to assess and manage financial risks associated with trading activities

What You'll Bring

• You hold a Bachelor's degree with coursework in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline

• A minimum of five (5) years of options trading experience, preferably in power
• You have a strong working knowledge of North American power market fundamentals
• You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, which is valuable for developing trading algorithms and analyzing large datasets
• You enjoy problem-solving and creating trading opportunities
• You are a clear communicator, open to dialogue and debate
You work autonomously and adapt to change

Additional Details

• This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy working three (3) days in-office and two (2) days remote
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 - $190,000 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
