Mechanical BIM Specialist

Full-Time | In-Office | $30.00–$50.00/Hour Based on Experience

Build the mechanical systems behind some of the Dallas-Fort Worth area's most complex commercial and industrial construction projects. If you want hands-on BIM and Revit work that directly shapes real buildings — not just renderings — this is the seat.

We're growing our team and looking for a Mechanical BIM Specialist to help develop the detailed models, layouts, and construction documentation that drive successful project execution.

This is a primarily in-office position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Limited hybrid flexibility may be available after successful completion of the initial 90-day training and onboarding period, based on project needs and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams to develop and maintain accurate HVAC and plumbing models for commercial construction projects. Your work will directly support project planning, fabrication, installation, and successful field execution.

• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing models
• Generate construction drawings and shop drawings
• Interpret plans and specifications
• Convert sketches and concepts into digital models
• Perform field verification and site measurements
• Participate in clash detection and coordination efforts
• Support fabrication workflows
• Assist project teams throughout the construction process
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings to keep projects accurate, organized, and on schedule

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 40-hour workweek with a one-hour lunch break
• Overtime opportunities available based on project needs and management approval

What You Bring

At least 2 years of experience in BIM coordination, Revit modeling, CAD drafting, mechanical design, MEP coordination, or commercial construction documentation. Strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Experience with Autodesk Fabrication MEP and Autodesk CAD-MEP
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection
• Commercial construction or MEP drafting experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams
• Technical degree preferred but not required, with relevant experience
