Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate is highly experienced network professional with deep expertise in AWS Networking and core technologies such as Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPN, and SD‑WAN.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Manage and maintain core network infrastructure including Routing & Switching, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPN, Cisco Wireless, SD‑WAN, and AWS networking components.

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across network domains such as routing, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and wireless technologies.

• Perform day‑to‑day operational activities including incident handling, service requests, change requests, and firewall policy updates.

• Join production incident and triage calls to analyze, prioritize, and resolve network‑related issues efficiently.

• Implement and review firewall rules, network change requests, and ensure timely break‑fix support for network data and security services.

• Generate monthly and quarterly firewall audits and network capacity management reports to support compliance and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 9–12 years of professional experience in Network Engineering.

• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPN, Cisco Wireless, SD‑WAN, and AWS Networking.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting network incidents and performing operational tasks across firewalls, load balancers, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking environments.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
