As a Visa Staff Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. Essential Functions:

• Design, develop and implement features, enhancements, Webservices, Microservices, tools and utilities in a client facing environment on a platform that is highly scalable and resilient on the N-tier architecture in Agile development life cycle.
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Visa Dispute business domain, contribute to requirement analysis, evaluate various coding alternatives, and participate in scoping and sizing activities.
• Perform third and fourth level support in production and client certification environment with root cause analysis including identifying, developing, and providing solutions for production issues.
• Analyze and identify the root cause of performance issues and propose changes to designs and new enhancements for resiliency and scalability.
• Participate in technological proof-of-concepts, embrace new technologies and frameworks and in code review processes to ensure quality and consistency
• Develop scripts, No SQL and SQL for detailed analysis and solutions in data processing and AI/ML models creation and tuning.
• Participate in production implementations and on call, providing all necessary support to ensure successful resolution of issues.
• Analyze and identify the drift in Feature, Model and Data of the ML Models with proposals for retuning or fine tuning.
• Use various tools and leverage production statistics to improve the system and process improvements for VROL program, working with Architecture and SME groups.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation to support development and operational initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, SME's, DevOps, Security, Business, Performance, Automation, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across initiatives.
• Strive for excellence and innovation in service delivery, seize opportunities and consistently think and act ahead of the curve to drive successHelp drive continuous improvement around processes and provide input to new initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
•7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD in Computer Science or similar field in the financial services industry.
• Experience in software engineering and designs for highly scalable and always-on distributed systems with expertise in developing and supporting complex solutions for business enterprise applications including batch and data processing with security.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex projects from concept to deployment.
• Knowledge of card processing/transaction processing and payment domain is a plus.
• Proven expertise developing software within the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) mode
• Proven problem-solving skills and an ability to respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities, and challenges
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring framework,Spring boot, Struts, Angular, Web services with REST/SOAP. Python would be a plus.
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL, SQL development is essential. Familiarity with DB2, Cassandra and MySQL is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microservices and cloud technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and S3.
• An understanding of end-end system and strong debugging and root cause analysis skills to help support production systems.
• Technical expertise in using Industry Standard Business Rules Management Systems, such as Java Rules or Drools.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, Message Broker.
• Experience with build tools, such as Gradle, and version control systems, such as Git.
• Expertise in data processing using java or python, spring boot and familiar with Spark, and ETL.
• Proficiency in leveraging generative AI to enhance development processes and resource efficiency, and skills in AI/ML highly desirable.
• Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium/ TestNG/ Cucumber
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools, like Jenkins, and infrastructure automation platforms, such as Ansible or Chef.
• A strong understanding of Linux/UNIX and shell scripting.

• Experience with scheduling tools like Control M, CA-ESP or Autosys desirable.

• Work experience in Agile methodologies, like Scrum. Familiarity with the SAFe framework is a plus.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $131,600 to $210,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
