Description:
Firetron, Inc. is currently hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Payroll Administrator to join its construction support team in Stafford, Texas. This full-time, on-site role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulations, including Davis-Bacon requirements, across active construction projects.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a high level of accuracy when handling payroll data and compliance documentation. This position requires someone who can manage multiple deadlines, interact with various stakeholders, and maintain organized records while supporting critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly certified payroll for construction field employees
- Prepare and submit payroll reports in accordance with prevailing wage and public works regulations (including DOL and TWC requirements)
- Manage payroll reporting through platforms such as LCPtracker, eMars, eComply, and B2G
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, rejections, and compliance-related issues
- Ensure accurate wage classifications, fringe benefits, deductions, and rates
- Track labor hours and verify correct job classifications for reporting
- Maintain organized payroll records and documentation for audits and compliance checks
- Work closely with project managers and contracts teams to confirm payroll data accuracy
- Review subcontractor payroll submissions and follow up on inconsistencies
- Address payroll-related inquiries from internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies
- Support internal and external payroll audits as required
- Assist with additional payroll and administrative duties when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in certified payroll, preferably within construction
- Solid understanding of prevailing wage laws and compliance requirements
- Experience analyzing payroll data for proper classification and wage accuracy
- Familiarity with subcontractor payroll documentation review
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems and reporting tools such as Paylocity, SFO, TechTool Operix, LCPtracker, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
- Ability to meet recurring deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in construction or skilled trades industries
- Knowledge of federal and state labor compliance reporting standards
