We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, manage projects, and contribute to technical decisions, while collaborating across teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development and Delivery:
Lead the end-to-end delivery process, including design, coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Focus on automation to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Collaborative Development:
Gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, and create design specifications.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to test hardware/software interactions and validate test environments.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Design and execute automated test plans, strategies, and validation processes.
Conduct unit testing, dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Lead projects, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
Inspire and motivate team members while fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving and Support:
Identify and resolve complex technical issues, including configuration and environment challenges.
Support production applications and ensure high availability and reliability.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
3-5+ years of software development experience, including leading teams and projects.
Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++).
Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
Experience with coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
Expertise in database design and management, including SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
Knowledge of testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with UI toolkits, frameworks, and DevOps tools/practices.
Ability to transform requirements into design concepts and entity relationship diagrams (ERDs).

Our Senior Software Engineering, earns between $130,700 - 196,100 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
