Are you an experienced Prior Authorizations Coordinator looking for a full-time opportunity? Join a prestigious clinic in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional to manage prior authorization and insurance approval for medical procedures and services , ensuring patients receive timely care and providers have the necessary approvals.

PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:

• $17.00-$22.00/hr (based on experience)
• Monday-Friday office hours (No weekends!)
• Medical, Dental, and Vision +
• Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
• Weekly Pay via direct deposit or pay card

PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS COORDINATOR DUTIES:

• Review provider requests to determine if prior authorization is required
• Submit authorization requests to insurance companies for procedures, tests, or medications
• Track authorization status, denials, and appeals in the EMR
• Communicate updates and approvals to healthcare providers and patients
• Resolve denied or delayed authorizations to prevent service interruptions
• Ensure compliance with insurance policies, payer requirements, and regulations
• Collaborate with providers to gather necessary documentation for approvals

PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of experience in prior authorizations or medical insurance coordination
• Knowledge of insurance plans, prior authorization processes, and medical coding/payer requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check
