About The Role

Peraton’s Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nation’s security. Our team of experts provides innovative engineering, logistics , sustainment, and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure, while addressing the most complex cyber operations and national defense challenges.

Peraton is seeking a Systems Administration to support our mission to defend and protect our national security .

The Systems Administration supports the daily administration and maintenance of enterprise systems, ensuring operational stability and compliance with security requirements. They perform routine system tasks, monitor performance, and assist in troubleshooting under the guidance of senior administrators.

Responsibilities may include :

The Systems Administration will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

• Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of hardware, resources, and key processes.

• Execute routine system maintenance including applying patches, updates, and configuration changes.

• Assist with the installation and setup of operating systems, applications, and utilities.

• Respond to user support requests and resolve common technical issues.

• Escalate complex incidents to senior system administrators for resolution.

• Maintain system documentation including logs, configuration files, and procedural guides.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, Master's degree with 0 ye ars of experience, 6 years of experience with no degree

• US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI .

• Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 451 requirements, including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect information systems.

• Experience performing system administration tasks in a Windows, Linux, or Unix environment.

• Familiarity with patching, updating, and maintaining secure system configurations.

• Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.

• Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes .

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with basic scripting or automation tools for routine tasks.

• Knowledge of Active Directory and basic account management functions.

• Understanding of file system permissions and access control.

• Experience supporting software installations and upgrades .

Details

Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
