Client Compute Architect

How You'll Help Us Connect the World: As a Client Compute Architect, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable, and user-friendly client computing environments across the enterprise. You will lead the development of strategies, standards, and architecture for end-user computing, including lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktops. This role will be based in Richardson, TXand report to the Manager of End User Computing. You Will Make an Impact By: Developing and maintaining enterprise-wide client compute strategies aligned with IT goals Defining standards and reference architectures for end-user devices, operating systems, and software Leading the design and configuration of scalable, secure, and efficient client environments including Windows, macOS, and VDI platforms Managing modern endpoint management tools (Microsoft Intune, SCCM, JAMF) to automate provisioning, deployment, patching, and compliance Collaborating with cross-functional IT teams to deliver a unified and cohesive user experience Supporting Windows Autopilot, hybrid Azure AD join, and co-managed device environments Researching emerging technologies like DaaS, Zero Trust, and hybrid work enablement Developing golden images, group policies (GPOs), and configuration baselines Leading patch management and application rollouts across all endpoint devices Monitoring and optimizing device performance, security, and user productivity Troubleshooting escalated hardware and software issues across all client platforms Supporting BYOD, MDM, and secure endpoint strategies in collaboration with IT Security Documenting configurations, procedures, and internal knowledge base articles Participating in lifecycle planning for hardware refreshes and OS upgrades Required Qualifications for Consideration: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 8+ years of experience in client engineering, endpoint management, or desktop infrastructure Strong expertise with Windows 10/11, macOS, and associated deployment/management tools Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Entra ID, Azure AD, and PowerShell scripting Familiarity with JAMF or MDM platforms for macOS/iOS management Experience with Windows Autopilot and hybrid Azure AD join environments Knowledge of device security, patch management, antivirus, encryption, and compliance policies Familiarity with cloud-based desktop solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, or VMware Horizon Understanding of Zero Trust frameworks and secure endpoint design You Will Excite Us If You: Hold certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Have experience with application virtualization (App-V, MSIX) Are familiar with VDI solutions and modern workplace architecture Bring exposure to Zero Trust models and DaaS implementations Why ANDREW?
