Manufacturing Production Supervisor / Facility Site Supervisor
Rate: $33/hour
Contract Duration: 12 months
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (Overtime anticipated)
Position Overview
The Facility/Site Supervisor will oversee operations at the Coyanosa Thermal Treatment Facility. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards, managing facility operations, and supervising personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with compliance teams to manage permits and licenses.
- Maintain and organize regulatory documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Implement procedural changes based on regulatory updates.
- Report compliance incidents and support investigations.
- Participate in audits and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Train staff on compliance processes and standards.
- Liaise with contractors and agencies on environmental programs.
- Assess environmental risks and implement control measures.
- Recommend updates to environmental procedures and documentation.
- Monitor implementation of HSE environmental plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental policies and standards.
- Conduct and support environmental audits and self-assessments.
- Coordinate environmental training for staff and contractors.
- Maintain updated environmental documentation onsite.
- Advise management on environmental program compliance.
- Support investigations of environmental incidents.
- Promote environmental awareness and engagement among staff.
- Implement best practices to maintain a professional facility image.
- Supervise staff to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure staff meet company and regulatory standards.
- Apply LEAN methodology to enhance facility performance.
- Support business continuity through quality control and safety initiatives.
- Ensure explosives are authorized, stored, and transported properly.
- Maintain accurate inventory and safety records.
- Conduct bi-annual self-assessments of explosive facilities.
- Implement Explosives Safety Program requirements.
- Provide emergency and technical support related to explosives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years in manufacturing, facility supervision, or environmental compliance.
- Experience in regulated environments and safety programs preferred.
- Familiarity with LEAN methodology and quality control systems.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of regulatory and environmental compliance.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage operations effectively.
- Strong communication and training capabilities.
- Knowledge of explosives safety protocols is a plus.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
