Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled RN to join a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Coushatta, Louisiana. This travel nursing role requires expertise in ventilator care and pediatric ICU experience. Key Responsibilities of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Requirements of the RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current PALS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Completion of New Nurses Orientation and organizational entry competency validation required for new hires
