Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Front End Engineer to join Procore’s Product & Technology Team. In this Senior Front End Engineer role, you’ll design, develop, and support location-aware, map-based experiences that drive productivity for construction workers and contractors worldwide. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, performant web solutions that enhance the entire construction lifecycle. Use your expertise in React, TypeScript, and front-end architecture to create intuitive user interfaces, optimize performance, and lead impactful engineering initiatives.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will be based out of our Austin office where you'll partner closely with a team predominantly located on the US West Coast. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately. Apply today to join our team of Groundbreakers.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop scalable web-based solutions that support business and user needs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, platforms, and infrastructure at scale.

• Document complex solutions to foster clarity and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Debug and resolve challenging technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Ensure the technical quality of the work within the team through a combination of direct contribution, mentorship, code review, and engagement with the broader engineering community.

• Balance short-term project requirements with long-term strategic goals to drive sustainable growth.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on building scalable web-based solutions.

• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and modern front-end testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Cypress) required.

• Experience with microfrontend and platform architectures preferred.

• Experience measuring and optimizing web performance preferred.

• Experience with Node.js, Python, Postgres, AWS Cloud Services, Terraform, Ruby on Rails, and Service-Oriented Architecture preferred.

• Experience or strong interest in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and data visualization, especially with mapping libraries such as Mapbox, Maplibre, Leaflet, or geospatial databases like PostGIS preferred.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $140,960 - $193,820. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
