We are seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to support large capital projects by managing engineering and project documentation throughout its lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining document accuracy, controlling revisions, coordinating review workflows, and ensuring all records are properly tracked within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with document control experience in EPC, industrial, energy, construction, mining, power, or oil & gas environments.

Responsibilities

• Register, number, and maintain project documents and engineering drawings according to established document control procedures

• Maintain document registers and ensure revision status remains accurate throughout the project lifecycle

• Coordinate document review workflows, track comments, monitor due dates, and log review outcomes

• Prepare, issue, and track incoming and outgoing document transmittals with vendors, engineering partners, and project stakeholders

• Upload and maintain records within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), ensuring accurate metadata and document attributes

• Track vendor document requirements and follow up on overdue deliverables

• Develop and maintain document status reports, KPI dashboards, and turnaround-time metrics

• Manage superseded revisions, permissions, and document retention processes

• Support audit readiness and compliance with project document control standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of document control experience supporting capital projects, engineering projects, or EPC environments

• Strong understanding of document lifecycle management, revision control, and transmittal processes

• Experience using EDMS platforms such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Documentum, or similar systems

• Advanced attention to detail and ability to maintain naming conventions and document accuracy

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and tracking purposes

• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Experience

• EPC, industrial, mining, oil & gas, power generation, or heavy construction projects

• Aconex experience

• Vendor document control and VDRL management

• Experience working with engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and datasheets

• Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools
