Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time. 

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, familiarity with AWP/CWP scheduling, etc.
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
• Integrates interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
• Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
• Performs schedule data analysis, identifies problems, and assists with recommendations.
• Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule
• Develop and maintain any bulk project curves, skylines, short term work packages, subject schedules, etc.
• Maintains open communications with other organizations to support schedule development, maintenance and reporting.
• Assists with schedule recovery plans, trend and change management impact analysis, etc.
• Assists in determining critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements
• Assists with critical path schedule reports, schedule performance metrics and other project reporting requirements
• Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules
• Prepares schedule data for proposals, contract negotiations

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Level 1: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
• Level 2: Typically requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated advanced capability level with Primavera (P6) and experience in its application on complex engineering and construction projects, including resource loading
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, perform, review, and present planning and scheduling products. This includes preparation of the products independently with minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design and construction practices.
• Demonstrated flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
• Good communication / coordination skills
• Analytical approach to problem solving
• Understanding of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning/Startup Planning on Large Scale Energy Projects
• Proficiency in using PC operating systems and multi-disciplined specific software applications.
• Advance Excel skills, including tool development e.g. dashboards and skylines
• Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present project controls, schedule analysis and information to peers/management/client.
