Job Description: Licensed Professional Counselor

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team in Pampa, Texas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by providing counseling and support services to individuals in need. With a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year, we aim to attract skilled professionals who are committed to improving the mental health and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to clients dealing with various mental health challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs and goals of clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in achieving their emotional and psychological goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate progress notes and documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive support network for clients.
  • Facilitate workshops and support groups to promote mental wellness and coping strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in mental health practices and therapies through continuous education and training.
  • Assist clients in setting and achieving personal and professional goals, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health theories, practices, and legal/ethical guidelines relevant to counseling in Texas.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in counseling or a related mental health field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention and management preferred.
