Hiring: Application Architect – Mainframe Modernization (UniKix) | Dallas, TX | Long-Term Contract
Role: US Application Architect – Application Modernization
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Define end-to-end testing strategy for mainframe modernization projects.
Identify application scope including batch jobs, online transactions, CICS screens, and interfaces.
Analyze application dependencies and document data flow across source and target environments.
Evaluate and recommend tools for regression testing, comparison testing, reverse engineering, and performance testing.
Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs), tool evaluations, and client demonstrations.
Collaborate with client SMEs, QA teams, modernization teams, and business stakeholders.
Ensure functional equivalence, quality, and performance of migrated applications. Required Skills
Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
Experience with UniKix or similar mainframe rehosting platforms.
Hands-on experience in Mainframe Modernization/Rehosting programs.
Expertise in testing strategy, regression testing, comparison testing, and performance testing.
Experience with reverse engineering legacy applications.
Knowledge of Unix/Linux and distributed systems.
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have
Mainframe-to-UniKix migration experience.
