The Position
Our bank client is seeking to fill a Loan Operations Manager role in the Freeport, TX market. The candidate will oversee and manage the bank’s loan operations departments in accordance with federal regulations and compliance guidelines, with the support and oversight of the Loan Controller.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $95K and excellent benefits package.
Loan Operations Manager responsibilities include:
- Supervising loan operations personnel to include assignment of duties, scheduling, appropriate training and cross-training, and performance evaluation.
- Coordinating department workloads to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitoring technological changes available for use to improve department operations.
- Providing necessary support to lenders or other bank personnel to ensure the Loan Production and Loan Administration departments are operating in an efficient manner while providing a high level of both internal and external customer service.
- Providing supervisory support to department staff including serving as back-up as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with bank and department standards and procedures, external rules and regulations, and applicable SBA and investor requirements.
- Reviewing of all Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures for accuracy and TRID compliance, prior to forwarding to the applicant(s)/borrower(s).
- Providing reports and other requested items to bank examiners and/or auditors as needed.
- Approving general ledger tickets and expensed items for departments.
- Complying with Disaster Recovery training and testing.
- Overseeing staff assistance with customer note payments, transferring money between accounts, and preparing required documentation.
- Attending loan committee meetings or other meetings as requested.
- Assisting on special projects as requested by the Loan Controller and Senior Management.
- Performing other duties as required or assigned by the Loan Controller.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- Minimum High School graduate or equivalent required; some college background strongly preferred, business or related degree is a plus.
- Five or more years of experience in commercial and real estate loan documentation is required.
- Laser Pro or similar loan origination software knowledge in preparing commercial and real estate loan documentation is required.
- Five or more years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of TRID and ability to prepare Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosures.
- Knowledge of HMDA reporting and annual filing thereof.
- Ability to motivate, supervise, train, monitor performance of staff.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, management, communication (both written and oral), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
