We are excited to be adding a high performing Accounts Payable Specialist to our iNet Team. The A/P Specialist will be responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization and also serve as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and follow the company’s purchasing and accounts payable procedures.
• Use Sage Intacct to post invoices, apply payments, set up new vendors, and record expense reimbursements.
• Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to posting.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs that include ACH, wire, online portal, and check methods.
• Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments and credits are accounted for.
• Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Contact other departments and outside agencies to resolve discrepancies and/or obtain expense approvals.
• Review credit card transactions and employee reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policy.
• Support month-end close by preparing accounts payable reports.
• Prepare and upkeep various departmental spreadsheets for lease, insurance, and tax schedules.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms.
• Manage annual 1099 processing and filing.
• Communicate anomalies and questionable items to Accounting Manager and/or approvers.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

Required :

• Five+ years of strong performance in a previous A/P role
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel - Intermediate
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy and pride in ownership of your work
• Excellent organizational skills

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• HIgh School Diploma or GED

Preferred :

• Associates degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
• Experience working in Sage Intacct
