Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres | Houston, Texas
We are working with a leading international construction and property consultancy that has been appointed to support the delivery of a major multi-campus data centre development in Houston, Texas.
The programme forms part of a significant investment into mission-critical infrastructure in the US and will involve the delivery of multiple large-scale data centre facilities across the campus.
Due to the scale of the programme and continued growth of the team, we are looking to speak with experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors / Senior Cost Managers who would be interested in relocating to Houston and developing their careers within the rapidly expanding US data centre market.
This is a long-term opportunity to become part of a high-performing commercial team delivering one of the region's most significant mission-critical developments.

Our client is an internationally recognised construction and property consultancy providing cost management, project management and programme management services across major capital projects.
The business has an established presence across the UK, US and international markets, working with major developers, investors and global organisations on complex construction programmes.
They have built a particularly strong reputation within the data centre and mission-critical sector, supporting clients through the full project lifecycle from early-stage cost planning and procurement through construction, commercial management and final account.
With continued investment into its US operations and a growing pipeline of major data centre programmes, the business is looking to strengthen its Houston team with experienced commercial professionals from both the domestic and international markets.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of the commercial / cost management team responsible for the delivery of the Houston data centre programme.
Depending on your background and experience, your responsibilities will include:
Managing commercial and cost management activities across major construction packages
Preparing cost plans, estimates and commercial reports
Supporting procurement strategy and contractor selection
Managing tender processes and analysing contractor submissions
Contract administration and commercial management
Managing variations, change control and cost forecasting
Reviewing contractor applications and valuations
Monitoring project budgets and reporting against forecast
Supporting commercial negotiations with contractors and supply-chain partners
Preparing regular cost reports for senior stakeholders
Managing final accounts and project close-out
Working closely with project managers, design teams, contractors and client stakeholders
You will be joining a collaborative international team and will have the opportunity to take ownership of significant packages of work as the programme progresses.
About You
We are looking to speak with Quantity Surveyors / Cost Managers who can demonstrate:
Minimum 7+ years' professional Quantity Surveying or Cost Management experience
Experience working for a recognised cost consultancy, project management consultancy, main contractor or major developer/client
Strong commercial and cost management fundamentals
Experience delivering large and technically complex construction projects
Strong procurement, cost reporting and contract administration experience
Excellent stakeholder and client-facing skills
The ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced project environment
Due to US work-authorisation requirements, candidates will only be considered if they hold a British, Australian or American passports.
