Physician Assistant General Pediatrics
- Outpatient Pediatrics Focus - Provide comprehensive care including well visits, acute care, and follow-ups
- Established Patient Panel - Manage new and established pediatric patients (avg. 25 per day)
- Flexible Scheduling - 8 or 10-hour shifts within clinic hours (7 AM - 7 PM)
- Minimal Weekend Requirement - Only 1-2 weekend shifts per month (single shift)
- Additional Earning Opportunity - Moonlighting available with premium weekend pay
- Strong Clinical Support Team - Work alongside RNs, LVNs, Medical Assistants, and front desk staff
- Autonomous Practice Opportunity - Serve as primary provider in a rural clinic setting with physician oversight (monthly QA)

- Assess the physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtaining medical histories.
- Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health care needs.
- Prescribes, recommends, or uses medical drug therapies or other treatments. Performs procedures following approved protocols, focusing on efficacy, safety, and cost.
- Recommends interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.
- Creates and carries out detailed patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, and care standards. Collaborates with physicians and team members when needed.
- Evaluates patient?s response to health care provided and the effectiveness of care.
- Counsels patients and families regarding medical processes, management of the health illness/condition, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Counsels patients about drug regimens and possible side effects. Discusses interactions with substances like food supplements, over-the-counter medications, and herbal remedies.
- Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient's treatment plans and outcomes. Initiates timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope or expertise.
- Provide consultation level services for conditions /problems related to the Provider?s specialty and training.
- Perform invasive procedures specific to scope of practice as delegated by supervising Physician.
- May provide care to patients in a team-based model. Focus on acute and chronic illness management and population health.
- Knowledge of information and techniques is needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
- Knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.

- Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
