Associate, Corporate Counsel
- Support senior attorneys in the negotiation and execution of wind turbine supply, service, and other strategic commercial agreements.
- Identify legal and commercial risks and assist in developing practical solutions that align with company objectives and risk tolerance.
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies, approved positions, and applicable legal requirements. Legal and Business Support - Provide practical, business-oriented legal support to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and commercial matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, presentations, training materials, and internal guidance documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization to support business objectives. Process Improvement and Legal Operations
- Assist in maintaining and improving contract templates, playbooks, guidelines, and legal processes.
- Support initiatives that improve efficiency, consistency, and risk management across contracting activities.
- Contribute to internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Assist with management of outside counsel and special legal projects as assigned. Required
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 2-5 years of legal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, government agency, or combination thereof.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word. Preferred
- Experience supporting renewable energy, energy, construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, capital equipment, or other complex commercial industries.
- Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, construction, or services contracting.
- Prior in-house legal experience.
