Mytechtal is a leading technology consulting firm based in Texas, USA. Our client, a Startup with more than 65K users for a ticket management software, is growing rapidly. The consultant will work on the first project to build and direct a team of developers to build a BNPL solution from scratch.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer Consultant to join our team and lead the development of our BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) solution. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to understand their business requirements and design and implement a robust BNPL solution that meets their needs.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of the BNPL solution, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure code.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to design and deliver a seamless user experience.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practices and ensuring the overall success of the project.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to improve the BNPL solution.

- Communicate project progress and issues to stakeholders, and provide timely solutions to any roadblocks.

- Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and provide technical expertise and guidance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role, with experience in a startup developing solutions on a full cycle.

- Strong experience in designing and developing complex software solutions, preferably in the finance and payment solutions.

- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Experience with front-end development using modern frameworks such as React or Angular.

- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA is a plus.

- Prior experience in BNPL solutions or the finance industry is highly desirable (or understanding business rules and regulations in the banking industry).

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, remote position with the option to work from our office in Texas, USA. The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
