Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the management and optimization of non-operated oil and gas data. This role will focus on ensuring that data received from non-operated partners (joint ventures, working interests, and other third-party operators) is efficiently integrated, validated, and transformed into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will combine strong data management and product ownership skills with a deep understanding of the oil & gas industry and the complexities of working with non-operated assets.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and roadmap for non-operated data products and platforms.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Oversee ingestion, validation, and standardization of partner data (production, costs, division orders, check stubs, operations reports, etc.).
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across systems.
- Establish and enforce best practices for metadata, taxonomies, and governance.
- Partner with operations, finance, and subsurface teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable product features.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to implement workflows and integrations.
- Champion data-driven decision-making by enabling analytics and visualization capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Geosciences, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of lease analysts or engineering tech, data management, or relevant oil & gas experience.
- Strong understanding of non-operated working interest/joint venture processes.
- Proven track record of managing complex data products or platforms.
Skills
- A product management background is not necessary, but a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn product management skills are required.
- Knowledge of upstream oil & gas operations and commercial workflows.
- Strong data analysis, data governance, and product lifecycle management expertise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
