Director Corporate Finance
The Director of Corporate Finance plays a crucial role in Remington's finance department. Their primary responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting:
- Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Communicating financial performance and results to internal stakeholders and senior management.
Investor Relations:
- Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential investors, analysts, and shareholders.
- Developing and executing an investor relations strategy to communicate the company's financial performance, strategy, and key developments.
- Addressing inquiries from investors and analysts and managing the flow of information to maintain transparency.
Financial Analysis:
- Conducting financial analysis to assess the company's financial health and performance.
- Providing insights and recommendations on financial strategies, investment decisions, and capital allocation.
- Monitoring key financial metrics and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial and securities regulations, including disclosure requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Staying informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and adapting the company's reporting practices accordingly.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborating with senior management to contribute to the development of financial and business strategies.
- Providing financial insights that support decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and capital structure management.
Communication Skills:
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing crisis communication and handling sensitive financial disclosures as needed.
- The successful candidate will possess very strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Will be extremely skilled in developing financial models in Excel and building PowerPoint presentations
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong influencing skills in conjunction with attention to detail, tenacity, and the ability to articulate to all levels of influence
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- The flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics required
- Minimum 5 years of hospitality or real estate investment is preferred
