Accounting/Administrative Support EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5+ Years NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 01 DEPARTMENT: Finance & Accounting REPORTS TO: EVP, Finance & Accounting LOCATION: Houston, TX (In Office) ROLE OVERVIEW: The Accounting/Administrative Support role provides key financial and operational support to the finance team by overseeing AP/AR processes, payment activities, and resolving discrepancies. It involves managing offshore teams, handling expense reports, and supporting payroll and compliance functions. The role also includes general administrative tasks like managing calls, mail, and visitors. Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and proficiency in Microsoft tools are essential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support and Supervise Offshore Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payment Processing teams. Resolving any issues that arise. Including printing AP checks, same day wires/ACH’s, wire/ACH template setup, 1099s, depositing checks, etc. Oversight of employee expense report process and resolve any issues that arise while interacting with teams. Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion. Administrative duties may include back-up on phones, greeting visitors, processing mail and deliveries. Support Company Administration (i.e. Corporate insurance (COI), Property tax appraisals/renditions, Compliance (i.e. Collection Licenses) management. Support payroll administration. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. SKILLS: 5+ years accounting experience or equivalent education in AP, AR, payments (checks, wires/ACH, 1099s), and discrepancy resolution. Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (preferred), advanced Microsoft Office skills for reporting and data handling. Supervisory oversight of offshore teams, expense reports, payroll, and compliance (insurance, taxes). Excellent communication, attention to detail, independent deadline management. QUALIFICATIONS: Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently on assigned duties. Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines. Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Background and drug screen required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience or college level education in accounting. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write emails, speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups and clients. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
