Network Engineer (Cisco / Palo Alto)

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both networking and security, with a strong foundation in Cisco environments and Palo Alto firewalls.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining uptime, securing systems, and supporting ongoing infrastructure improvements across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless solutions
- Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls , including policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability
- Support SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, and remote access solutions
- Partner with security teams to enforce network security best practices
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of network devices
- Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple sites
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP)
- Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama is a plus)
- Solid understanding of network security principles and protocols
- Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco certifications ( CCNA, CCNP )
- Palo Alto certifications ( PCNSA, PCNSE )
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure or AWS)
- Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
- Experience in multi-site or enterprise environments
