POSITION SUMMARY

Laser Shot is currently looking for a weapon assembler to assemble simulated weapons. The ideal candidate will be required to have experience in the use of firearms and knowledge of the repair and construction of various types of weapons.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Repairs and modifies training simulated weapons using provided drawings (blueprints). Must have experience with using hand tools and machines, such as grinders, planers, and millers: Fits action and barrel into stock and aligns parts.
• Installs parts, such as metallic or optical sights, pistol grips, recoil pads, and decorative pieces of firearms, using screws and hand tools.
• Knowledge of instruction manuals, instrument specifications, schematics, written/verbal instructions.
• Execute hi-temp hand soldered surface mount and through-hole components the size of 1206 and 603.
• Assemble electrical or mechanical components, subassemblies, wiring, bolts, and soldering.
• Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
• Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
• Confer with supervisors or system engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems. Drill and tap holes in specified product locations to mount control units, and to provide openings for hardware, wiring, and instruments.
• Maintain inventory and non-inventory production parts, manufacturing supplies, tools, and subassemblies,
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School Graduate

EXPERIENCE

One to two years related experience.

Formal Gun Smith training a plus
