Credit Controller

Clayton Services is searching for a Credit Controller to join a thriving company in Pasadena, Texas. The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing financial transactions, including payment collection, recording, and discrepancy resolution, while conducting credit analysis to mitigate risks and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Job Type: Temporary (6 to 8 weeks assignment; could go long-term)Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00/hour

Credit Controller Responsibilities:

• Develop credit scoring models for effective risk management.
• Manage the collection process, handling escalated AR inquiries and disputes, and negotiating credit hold/release status.
• Evaluate and decide on loan approvals or rejections based on available data.
• Oversee billing and reconciliation on customer portals.
• Negotiate loan terms with new customers.
• Investigate and resolve customer portal violations.
• Monitor customer deductions.
• Generate regular reports on unpaid accounts and repayment progress.

Credit Controller Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Good understanding of lending procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel.

Credit Controller Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of experience with credit analysis and managing the collections process.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
