Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Conroe, TX 77304 (Greater Houston area)
• Healthcare Setting: 2 West Neuroscience Telemetry Unit, 24 beds
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel RN Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 7/21/2025, End: 10/20/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A), every other weekend required
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required for all travel RN jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Neuroscience RN experience
• Proficient with Meditech EMR systems
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, medication administration, and IV push
• Experience with central line care, blood administration, and EKG monitoring
• Ability to float to Med/Surg or Cardiovascular Telemetry (CVT) units as needed
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and committed to quality patient care

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a 24-bed neuroscience telemetry unit
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and manage pain
• Care for foley catheters, Purewick systems, and central lines
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, administer blood thinners, and manage blood transfusions
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-surgical recovery (brain/spine, heart cath)
• Draw blood, support patient recovery, and coordinate discharge planning
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient experience
• Float to Medical/Surgical and Cardiovascular Telemetry (CVT) units as required
