About the Position
Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Prior experience in postpartum care Description: Contract RN position available in postpartum care. The position is for 13 weeks. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends. No call is required. Patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 based on acuity. The unit consists of 24 beds and 26 staff members including 1 charge nurse and 4 RNs during the day. There are no patient care technicians at night. Preferred candidates will have previous experience in labor and delivery or antepartum care. Common procedures include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and administration of insulin, magnesium, and heparin drips. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Dress code requirements include navy blue scrubs. This position offers exposure to new equipment and technology. Candidates should be ready to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care.
