Primary Purpose: Medina Valley ISD is looking for a Multimedia Coordinator to expand the district's communications through effective video production, content creation and digital marketing while also supporting the department's day-to-day functions

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism, radio/television, graphic arts, communications, marketing or related field required

Experience: Two or more years of professional experience in a communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field. Experience working at an educational institution is preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Proficient in audio and video production and still photography
• Video planning, script writing and storyboarding skills
• Familiarity with video systems, audio equipment, cameras, lighting etc.
• Proficiency with graphic design and publishing software applications (Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and Canva) • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
• Capable in creating, writing, sourcing and executing stories, scripts, website and social media posts that meet the district's objectives and coordinates with cross channel messaging
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Support all functions of the Communications Department

2. Plan, produce, manage and disseminate videography through script writing, interviewing, editing, photography, motion graphics and graphic design for various platforms

3. Create original storytelling ideas that meet the department's mission and seeing them through approval, planning, production, and completion

4. Manage district website content and support campus web pages

5. Communicate effectively through a variety of digital and print materials, including developing communication and marketing collateral, graphics, logos, infographics, brochures, and social media assets

6. Works with communications department, district and campus staff in planning and executing events such as Convocation, graduation, service awards, Teacher of the Year, ribbon cuttings, ground breakings etc.

7. Collaborate with department and other campus staff on stories, event coverage and district initiatives the require digital media

8. Maintains a flexible schedule before, during and after a traditional workday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,608.00 - $97,519.00 per year
