Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps / ETL pipelines)

Hybrid two weeks onsite a month in either Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH

Our client is seeking a talented senior Systems/DevOps professional who can provide 24/7 support on both AWS EKS clusters, as well as ETL pipelines (Informatica/SQL/Oracle) - we are seeking to have someone join ASAP.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

• Provide 24x7 production support for applications and infrastructure in a globally distributed environment in an on-call rotation to deliver responsive customer support.
• Deploy code changes to enable new features and functionalities in production with both AWS ecosystems, including ECS, EKS, or other clustered environments, as well as ETL pipelines (Informatica, Oracle, SQL)
• Analyze and resolve application and batch issues in partnership with technology teams while supporting production environments, adding in stability, and looking for new means of engineering improvements
• Assist with rollout of new products by coordinating launch and ongoing support activities in both remote and in person (hybrid work environment) settings.

• Senior-Level Technical Expertise: Comprehensive background in Linux, Oracle databases, networking, and ITSM methodologies requiring 8+ years of progressive experience
• Cloud & Database Proficiency: Advanced AWS and Snowflake knowledge, with certifications preferred, demonstrating deep cloud and data platform capabilities
• Infrastructure and Monitoring: Proven experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS), monitoring tools like Datadog/Splunk, and robust infrastructure management skills
• Data Processing & ETL: Strong background in batch scheduling (Autosys/Control-M), ETL processing, Informatica, and Oracle PL/SQL development
• DevOps and Automation: Expertise in automated deployment tools (Jenkins), event-driven architectures (Apache Kafka), and proficiency in Python/Java programming
• Architectural and Methodology Strengths: Deep understanding of DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, and Agile software development methodologies
• Networking and System Integration: Comprehensive networking knowledge, including advanced troubleshooting skills and experience with load balancing technologies (F5/AVI)

• ITIL certification (preferred).
• AWS certification (preferred).
• Snowflake certification (preferred).
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent STEM/Science degree and commensurate years of experience (8+ years - required)
