Description:You will be a Software Engineering Sr for the Aeronautics Sensor Fusion Functional Domain.

As a Software Engineering Sr (E3) at Aeronautics, you will play a critical role serving as a technical contributor accountable for the support of the sensor fusion team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Shape software development processes and technology
Ensure capability development meets schedule and quality goals

The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong developer that understands the nuances of contributing to a team in a highly complex environment. This person will also have strong analytical thinking and coding skills, be highly collaborative, exhibit exceptional organizational skills, demonstrate proactive thinking, operate autonomously as appropriate, and produce superior work products under tight deadlines.

A previous background in sensor fusion/tasking will be highly valuable.

This role may require infrequent travel, extended hours, and possible weekend/off-hour support. Our team supports programs that may require additional special access in addition to a DoD Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in MatLab and other programming languages
- Experience with radar and or other sensor tracking systems and algorithms
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain the trade-offs between possible software solutions
Extremely good problem solving and organizational skills
Passion and ability to learn and communicate both advanced concepts and high-level strategy
Demonstrated excellent team building and interpersonal skills, capable of relationship building with customers and employees at all levels and across multiple geographic locations.
Demonstrated ability to work well with senior technical staff
Familiarity with Agile Development Concepts, General understanding of Fusion and Sensor Tasking Concepts, Experience in leading small technical teams
Familiarity with GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Teams
Proficiency in C++ &/or Python
Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
Active security clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
