Retail Sales Associate
Our company is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We pride ourselves on our extensive range of merchandise and our commitment to customer satisfaction. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing stellar customer service experiences on a daily basis. You will work in a supportive environment where your input will be valued and your growth fostered.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Provide product knowledge and advice, suggesting items that meet the customers' needs.
- Handle transactions accurately, including cash, checks, and credit or debit cards.
- Address customer queries and resolve price discrepancies.
- Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policy.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide information as needed.
- Prepare purchased items for customers by bagging, boxing, and wrapping as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of the store.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to customers' needs.
- Knowledge of the merchandise sold in the store.
- Proficiency in operating the store's point-of-sale system and other equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work on cash register or related equipment.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
