Salary: $36 - $38 per hour A bit about us: A growing heavy industrial metal manufacturer in the Rome, NY area is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join its maintenance team. This role supports high volume metal processing equipment and performs a full range of electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation work on production machinery, high horsepower motors, and industrial power systems. The ideal candidate is hands on, safety focused, and confident working in a team environment at a demanding metal manufacturing environment. ? 401k with 4 percent match Job Details What you will be doing ? Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical components, controls, and power systems on heavy metal processing machinery including presses, furnaces, rolling equipment, and high horsepower motors
? Diagnose issues with temperature control instrumentation, sensors, thermocouples, and recording devices used in metal heating and forming processes
? Troubleshoot PLC systems used to control automated manufacturing equipment
? Diagnose, maintain, and repair AC and DC drive systems supporting large mechanical loads
? Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime in a 24/7 industrial operation
? Work safely around molten metal, high heat, high voltage environments, overhead cranes, and rapidly moving mechanical systems What we are looking for ? Industrial maintenance electrical experience in metal manufacturing, foundry, steel/metal processing, heavy machining, or other rugged industrial environments
? Strong AC and DC drive troubleshooting background, especially with high horsepower or variable frequency applications
? PLC troubleshooting and basic programming experience
? Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support continuous operations
? Strong commitment to safety in high heat and high energy environments
? High school diploma or equivalent required
