Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Security Program Manager (Security PM) to support engineering and security initiatives in Austin, TX. This role will partner closely with security engineering, infrastructure, product, and operations teams to drive complex security programs from concept through execution. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, deep understanding of security principles, and proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs.

Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of security-focused engineering programs
Partner with security engineering, software, infrastructure, and product teams to define scope, requirements, timelines, and success metrics
Drive security initiatives related to application security, infrastructure security, privacy, risk management, and compliance
Translate technical security requirements into actionable program plans and milestones
Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps; proactively develop and drive mitigation strategies
Track program progress using dashboards, metrics, and regular status reporting
Facilitate technical reviews, threat modeling discussions, and security readiness assessments
Ensure alignment across teams while maintaining a high bar for security, quality, and delivery

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Program Manager, or Security Program Manager
Strong understanding of security fundamentals (e.g., secure software development, threat modeling, identity and access management, vulnerability management)
Experience managing cross-functional programs involving security and engineering teams
Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and security concepts to diverse stakeholders
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with security engineering, cloud security, or platform security teams
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC, PCI)
Experience in Agile or hybrid development environments
Experience supporting large-scale consumer technology platforms
Prior experience working with Apple or similarly scaled technology companies
