Project Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics projects alongside Project Managers
• Support rate negotiations and carrier selection
• Establish billing and project report templates
• Review and ensure accuracy of customer invoicing
• Monitor credit status, balances, and insurance compliance
• Handle critical client issues, advising on possible solutions
• Oversee project files for various transportation modes (truck, rail, sea, air, barge)
• Manage letter of credit files, including documentation, discussions with banks, and liaising with senior management when necessary
• Assist management with charter requests, legal matters, and enforce signing authority for financial and legal commitments
• Collaborate with legal counsel to address potential liabilities with clear written guidance
• Keep clients informed and provide information to support business development
• Prepare agency agreements with management supervision
• Coordinate project cargo, co-signing agreements with senior managers
• Oversee equipment loading/discharge at ports or vendor sites under Manager supervision

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 2 years of international freight forwarding operations, breakbulk or project cargo experience
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills and phone etiquette
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Exceptional customer service skills and follow up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
• Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics and or International Business
