Senior Cerner CCL Developer / Technical Consultant (EHR)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cerner CCL Developer / Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Cerner Millennium, CCL scripting, healthcare data integration, and EHR implementations . The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical, technical, and operational teams to support large-scale EHR initiatives, data migrations, system integrations, and performance optimization .

This role requires deep knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and Cerner Millennium architecture , along with strong development and data integration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts to support clinical and operational workflows.
• Support large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, and optimization initiatives within Cerner environments.
• Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications and data solutions .
• Develop and support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes .
• Perform data migration, reporting, and integration activities across healthcare systems.
• Build and support REST / SOA services and system integrations .
• Work with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux environments to support enterprise healthcare applications.
• Optimize performance of CCL scripts, database queries, and integrations in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical teams, application analysts, architects, and integration engineers .
• Support healthcare data reporting and analytics initiatives .
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system performance tuning.
• Assist with cloud-based deployment and integration on platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

Required Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in healthcare IT or related technical roles.
• Strong experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL) development and optimization.
• Deep understanding of Cerner Millennium architecture .
• Experience supporting EHR implementations, migrations, and system optimization .
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Linux, and Oracle databases .
• Experience designing and implementing ETL processes and enterprise data integrations .
• Experience working with REST / SOA services .
• Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and system performance tuning .
• Strong experience with data extraction, system integration, and healthcare reporting environments .
• Ability to translate clinical workflows into technical solutions .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments in large healthcare organizations .
• Prior experience as a Senior Cerner Consultant or Technical Lead .
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as:
