Description

The Training Support Specialist ensures operations administration and support for all departments within the Talent Development Department. This position also supervises The Training Support Specialists.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools including SLII, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Designs and develops training support policies/programs tailored to meet the learning needs of HOLT Group’s employees; consistent with the company’s short and long-term business plans.
• Manages various projects for Talent Development programs.
• Supports the Cornerstone system administration including system releases, updates, and analyze system functionality.
• Develops content, online material, and assessments to support learning objectives.
• Provides ESP administration and support for all departments.
• Recommends learning design, technology, and instructional delivery.
• Manages timecards, and expense reports and conducts performance reviews for direct reports.
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of best practices in use of technology for teaching and learning, industry standards, terminology, instructional design, and technical requirements.

• Ability to work effectively with web-based systems.
• Ability to complete Holt’s VBL Classes to include: DISC, POP, SLII, Conflict Resolution and Influencing, and successfully apply the tools.
• Ability to produce quality results using rapid development models and tools.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Leadership, Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required.
• Minimum three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position directs and manages the Talent Development Training Support Specialist. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel:

• Up to 15% travel.

Physical Requirements:

• This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
• This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
• Occasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Work primarily performed in a professional office environment.
• Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
