Print Shop Assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks within the shop environment, supporting the production and design teams.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with graphic design tasks such as layout design and prepress work- Support press operations- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite for design projects- Likes to see a work order from design/setup to completion,

- Is hands on and willing to help with bindery work & print jobs instead of just sitting behind a computer,

- Very good customer service skills,

- Very well organized with their computers as well as filing/checking files in & out of filing cabinets,

- Generate/Follow up on quotes (Training provided),

- Order paper based on work orders at hand (Training provided),

- Follow up on work orders & track their progress,

- Generate shipping labels for select finished work orders,

- Invoice customer upon completion of a work order,

- Process payments and update invoices accordingly,

- Ability to use a spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheet),

Requirements:

- Recent Graphic Design graduate (Experience is a plus but not necessary),

- Proficiency in graphic design, layout design, and prepress techniques- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for design projects

Pay: $36,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
